A simple and peaceful Konkan itinerary with forts, beaches and hidden experiences

If you are planning a 3 day Konkan trip from Pune, let me take you through one that felt calm, beautiful, and honestly… a little hard to leave.

This wasn’t a rushed checklist trip. It was the kind where you sit a little longer, look around a little more, and don’t feel like checking your phone every five minutes.

We travelled with आपला पर्यटन मित्र, Mr. Milind Joshi, and everything was planned so smoothly that we could just focus on enjoying each place.

Day 1 Konkan Trip from Pune: The Road, The Views and Vijaydurg Fort

Starting early from Pune sounds difficult… until you hit the road.

Once you cross Karad and enter the Amba Ghat, the whole mood changes. The air feels fresher, the roads quieter, and suddenly the journey itself becomes part of the experience.

By the time you reach Vijaydurg, the pace already feels slower.

The fort doesn’t try too hard to impress you… and that’s exactly why it works. Standing there, surrounded by the sea, it feels strong, calm and timeless.

What made it even better was listening to Milind Joshi from आपला पर्यटन मित्र. The way he explained the history and details made everything easy to understand and actually interesting.

Boating around the fort is something you should not skip. Seeing it from the water gives you a completely different perspective.

Day 2 Konkan Trip: Mango Farms, Temple by the Sea and Quiet Evenings

The second day starts with something very Konkan, a visit to a Devgad Hapus mango farm.

It’s not just about seeing mango trees. You actually learn how to identify a good mango, what makes Devgad Hapus special, and why it tastes the way it does. Simple things, but surprisingly interesting.

Later in the day, the vibe shifts again.

Kunkeshwar Temple sits right next to the sea. No noise, no rush. Just the sound of waves and a very peaceful setting. It’s one of those places where you naturally slow down.

Evenings in Devgad are best spent doing nothing special. Just sitting at the sea-face, watching the sunset, and letting time pass.

One place that really stayed with me was Pokharbav Ganesh Temple.

Here, you step into clear, flowing water where small fishes gently touch your feet. It feels a little unusual at first… but also calm and strangely soothing.

The water is clean, the surroundings are quiet, and the whole place has a very peaceful and pious feel. It’s important to wear decent clothes here, as it is a temple space.

Day 3 Konkan Trip: A Little Adventure and a Peaceful Goodbye

The last day brings a mix of small adventure and calm moments.

Napne Waterfall with a glass bridge adds a bit of thrill. It’s a nice stop, especially if you enjoy scenic spots and photos.

Then comes Dattavadhut Dham, a place known for the presence of Dattaguru and Anaghalakshmi together. It’s quiet, peaceful, and feels different from the usual crowded temple visits.

The return to Pune is long, but by then, you’re not really thinking about the distance… you’re just replaying the trip in your head.

Trip Cost and What Makes It Easy

The cost was ₹8700 per person (for a group of 10).

This included travel, stay, all meals, boating, entry fees, and complete planning.

Trips like this work best when you don’t have to worry about small things. Everything was taken care of, which made the whole experience smooth and relaxed.
